Notre Dame lost more than the game to Navy Saturday afternoon at New Meadowlands Stadium. The Fighting Irish also lost nose guard Ian Williams and inside linebacker Carlo Calabrese to injuries in the second half of the team’s 35-17 loss.

Williams injured his left leg and was wearing a brace on the sideline after leaving the contest, but the extent of the injury was unknown.

Head coach Brian Kelly said that Calabrese hurt his hamstring. Both players were scheduled for MRI exams Sunday, and results are likely to be made public at some point Tuesday.

In addition, wide receiver T.J. Jones, who played in the slot with Theo Riddick sidelined with a bad ankle, was dealing with a minor hamstring issue but was said to be doing better Sunday. Kelly said Jones was fatigued more than anything else.

Notre Dame (4-4) will play Tulsa in South Bend this Saturday before having a bye week.
