Pass rusher making the rounds Aaron Wilson
Central Arkansas outside linebacker-defensive end Markell Carter visits the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today and is set to visit the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Last week, he conducted a private workout for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
He has previously visited the Green Bay Packers.
The St. Louis Rams are also displaying interest in the hybrid pass rusher.
The 6-foot-4, 252-pounder projects to outside linebacker for 3-4 schemes. He's being projected as a middle to later-round draft target.
He has 4.70 speed in the 40-yard dash, a 35-inch vertical leap and a 10-1 broad jump. He bench pressed 225 pounds 17 times at his Pro Day workout.
Carter finished last season with 62 tackles, 19 for losses of 103 yards and six sacks and was honored by the Little Rock Touchdown Club after the season.
A second-team All-Southland Conference selection as a junior, he recorded 6 1/2 sacks and 11 1/2 tackles for losses with 47 tackles and two fumble recoveries.
