Absolutely disgusting to fire Cable after the improvement this team has shown under his leadership. Al Davis is not fit to run an NFL franchise, and I hate to say that considering he has done much for football in this country, but now he is only a senile, desperate old man grasping at another ring before he literally turns into dust. Shame on him, and shame on Judas Jackson for sniping behind Cable's back.

Gotta hand it to the Raiders and to Tom Cable this year. No more shameful 2-14 records, at least not this year. Good draft picks for rookies that made a difference, a QB acquisition that is really starting to click, and Darren McFadden became the guy we all though he could be. Great stuff for a young team with a lot of upside, and for the first time in a long time, a winning attitude. Great year Raiders. Thanks much from all the fans in LA.

Great win against the Chiefs, who always play the Raiders tough, to pull within a 1/2 game of the division lead. While there are still some problems, like DH Boo's inability to catch the ball, the team overcame adversity and pulled out a tough win with several defensive starters on the sidelines. If they can beat Pittsburgh in two weeks, the media will have to stop with the excuses about the other tam 'having a bad day'. Even Tom Jackson will have to shut his mouth, which would be a joy to see.

It was really great to see young guys on the team step up and have good performances, namely Mike Mitchell, Nick Miller, Marcell Reese, and especially Darren McFadden. If they can keep running the way they did against Denver, they can mitigate the pass protection problems and give Campbell an easier time throwing the ball. Good job Raiders, keep it up.

Wow, on a day when the other three teams in the division lost, the Raiders couldn't even get a win against an 0-5 team...It would seem that all of Al's just win now (at all costs) decisions, chief among them not doing anything to improve the O-line in favor of flashy speedster draft picks and (bust) free-agent signings, is finally sinking the ship. When is the pain going to end?

Beating SD is always a good thing, but to break a 13 loss streak was awesome. Jason Campbell played the way we all thought he would in week 1, and the defense and special teams were solid as hell. Good job Raiders, great way to step up for an important win.

McFadden looked great, and that's about where the nice stuff ends. The line sucked. Mario Henderson looked lost, Veldheer may remind Al of Don Mosebar but that does not mean he can actually play center, and Gallery is injured (again). Is Justin Hartwig still available? As for Campbell, he can't move laterally and stares down one receiver on almost every play. Whoever's coaching him isn't getting it done. At least Gradkowski can move away from the defenders the line lets through on every play, and that would give the team some chance to win. And so much for improving the run defense: 205 yards and 3 touchdowns. Still an extremely long way to go.

Lamarr Houston is a beast. He could be the steal in this draft, I know many teams say they have a steal but this is legit. The man was bringing the heat against Dallas first string O-Line and giving everyone else fits all night.

Welcome Jason Campbell, and so long Janumanuh. Raiders had their best draft in recent memory, obviously moving in the direction of a 3-4 defense to help stop the run better, picked up a few good O-line prospects, and finally (thank God) got a real quarterback who fits in with the Al idea of offense (big ass arm) who is also precise with his short and mid-range throws, and by far a better team leader than what they had. The next step to make this all work is to not keep Janumanuh hanging around as the 3rd stringer, but to take advantage of the uncapped year and jettison his worthless fat ass. That would go a long way toward showing fans that the Raiders are serious about moving on and becoming a good team again.

We need to get out of the DMac trade talks. Vick is better suited for Raider Nation, he's younger, strong arm, can run. Please bring VICK here that's our man.

Let's hope for a capless year so we can cut all these over paid busts. Al messed up when Miami changed ownership and Parcells had a release clause activated he should have broken the bank to get him. Stating the obvious we need a culture shift. If Cowher wants to coach next year then make it happen in Oakland Al!
