Lonnie Johnson, a versatile four-star Class of 2014 wide receiver, gave a verbal commitment to Ohio State on Sunday.
The 6-2, 180-pounder from West Side High School (Gary, IN) had offers from Midwest schools such as Purdue, Cincinnati, Illinois and others. He was recruited to be an outside wide receiver in Columbus, and he gives the Buckeyes another high-quality versatile athlete that Urban Meyer and his staff have focused on bringing into the program. Johnson also has the flexibility to play safety if necessary.
The Indiana native is the eighth commitment and first receiver in the Buckeyes' 2014 class.
