Ole Miss in the mix for top Class of 2013 receiver
The blowout loss to Texas this past Saturday did nothing to eliminate Ole Miss from Laquon Treadwell's recruiting process.
One of the top wide receivers in the Class of 2013, the Crete-Monee High School (Crete, IL) star and his mother were impressed by their visit to Oxford, according to Yancy Porter of Scout.com.
The 6-3, 195-pounder remains wholly in the mix to land with Hugh Freeze's program.
"She loved it down there," Treadwell said of his mother's impression of Oxford. "Everyone was so hospitable to us. She liked the college town of Oxford. I wanted to see how their offense would fare against a great defense like Texas. They put on a great offensive show. They had some turnovers which stopped them but they moved the ball at will against a great defense. That is what I liked best.
"They are definitely one of my top schools."
While Michigan and Oklahoma State are thought to be frontrunners because of their location in the Midwest, Ole Miss, Florida and LSU are all after the receiver's services.
