With Cedric Griffin, who starts in the team’s nickel package, beginning a four-game suspension, the last place the Washington Redskins can afford injuries right now is at cornerback.
But DeAngelo Hall pledges he will be ready for Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, even as he arrived for his weekly radio appearance on 106.7 The Fan using crutches to aid with an ankle injury. Mike Jones of the Washington Post reports Hall said he expects to play against the Ravens.
Griffin was handed a four-game suspension for violation of the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said the team did not suffer any serious injuries. Still, there isn’t a long way to go until Sunday and Hall needs to be able to run.
