Broncos quarterback's status up for discussion after trade for Brady Quinn Aaron Wilson
Kyle Orton's status as the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback is safe despite the arrival of Brady Quinn via a trade from the Cleveland Browns, according to the Denver Post.
With a $2.62 million restricted tender, Orton is potentially a lot less expensive than Quinn, too.
If Quinn takes 70 percent of the snaps, he'll reportedly be paid a one-time, $5.9 million million escalator.
Per the report, Quinn's presence could be a bad development for reserve quarterbacks Chris Simms or Tom Brandstater.
Orton has bristled about his restricted status.
