Dolphins running back suffered knee injury. Terry McCormick
New York Jets linebacker Calvin Pace said in postgame quotes that his defense had hoped to knock Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush out of the game, according to the New York Post.
“Reggie, I guess he was doing his thing for a quarter or two,” Pace said. “We had to put him on out. We didn’t see him again.”
Bush indeed left the Dolphins' 23-20 overtime loss with a knee injury in the second quarter, one that the Palm Beach Post says could keep him out for a few weeks. ESPN later contradicted that report, saying Bush's MRI showed no structural damage.
It will be interesting to see how the league office reacts to Pace's statement in the wake of all the bounty scandal that stained the shield this past year.
