From Jason Wilde of The Wisconsin State Journal
APMichael Vick
GREEN BAY — Green Bay Packers general manager Ted Thompson’s non-answer to a question about Michael Vick was more than just Ted being Ted.
The team is doing thorough due diligence on the former NFL quarterback and has had legitimate discussions about the idea of signing him, according to sources.
Jason Wilde is trying to sell newspapers. Does anyone really think TT would bring in that kind of monumental distraction for what would be a second-string player? Does anyone really think an organization that just got over one QB nightmare would welcome another?
I called the Packer front office to register my displeasure with these rumors and the nice lady who picked up the phone kind of chuckled (as if she knew something) and kindly suggested I register my displeasure "with the people spreading the rumors."
At the end of the day, what Jason's "sources" supposedly told him is not one iota different from what TT already admitted. They consider everything.
And finally, not once in Jason Wilde's article (or anywhere else in the sports media world) has anyone bothered to notice the obvious angle that maybe, just maaaybe, TT is sending mixed signals to the division-rival Vikings who are likely much more serious contenders in the Michael Vick sweepstakes...
Give me a break.
You can say that again.
It just amazes me of the hypocritical Buffoons that talk *hit about Vick. I wonder if they feel the same way about Jarred Allen when he goes into the forest with a loaded SHOTGUN, hides in the bushes, aims his weapon, and shoots a innocent Bear, Deer, Mountain Lion or other animal thats minding its own business in its own habitat.... Yeah I bet they dont have a problem with people shooting deer so they can put antlers on their wall..... And I guess they dont have a problem with Jared Allen shooting a Mother Bear in front of her four baby cubs either. You people are dispicable.
AMEN Brother! It's just a stupid dog!!
