Green Bay Packers tight end Spencer Havner was involved in a motorcycle accident in California early Saturday morning, according to Liz Keller of TheUnion.com.

Havner was apparently not wearing a helmet when he lost control and wiped out around 2:45am, suffering a fractured scapula and lacerations to the back of his head and arm, per the report.

Here’s where the story gets interesting. According to Keller, Havner is facing charges of driving under the influence. However, Havner’s agent asserts that while a crash did take place, Havner is not facing DUI or any other charges.

"Spencer Havner suffered only minor injuries this weekend in an accident, including a broken scapula, but he should be fully recovered in short order," Mark Humenik, Athletes First's general counsel, said in a statement, per Tom Pelissero of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

"Despite unfounded media reports to the contrary, he has not been charged criminally with driving under the influence of alcohol or any other substance."

The 27-year-old entered the NFL in 2006 and has made one start for the Packers over the past three years. He scored four touchdowns in 2009.
