Packers RB Johnathan Franklin's career over due to neck injury

Green Bay Packers running back Johnathan Franklin's NFL career may be over.

The Packers are moving on due to a neck injury.

“He will not be back with us,” Packers coach Mike McCarthy said while characterizing it as "unfortunate news."

A former fourth-round pick from UCLA, Franklin rushed for 107 yards and a touchdown as a rookie.

He had 126 all-purpose yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.
