Rookie safety receives a $875,000 bonus Aaron Wilson
Former Georgia Tech safety Morgan Burnett has agreed to terms on a four-year, $2.66 million contract with the Green Bay Packers, according to league sources.
The 6-foot-1, 209-pounder received an $875,000 signing bonus, the standard base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000 as well as a fourth-year escalator clause that can significantly boost the maximum value of the deal.
Drafted 71st overall out of Georgia Tech, Burnett is regarded as a mobile, hard-hitting presence in the secondary.
A freshman All-American selection, Burnett led the team in interceptions his first year with three and recorded 57 tackles.
As a sophomore, he posted 93 tackles and seven interceptions.
As a junior, Burnett recorded 85 tackles and four interceptions before declaring early for the NFL draft.
For his career, Burnett posted 235 tackles with 14 interceptions and 13 pass deflections.
