Green Bay Packers rookie first-round defensive end Datone Jones has reached an agreement on a four-year, $7.7 million contract with a team option for a fifth year.

The signing bonus is nearly $4 million, and the total guaranteed money for the 26th overall pick of the draft is $6.3 million.

Jones is now all set for the first day of training camp Friday morning.

Jones is a former UCLA standout who is regarded as an extremely mature, all-around defensive lineman.

Jones is expected to be one of the better rookie defenders in the league.
