The Green Bay Packers tried out five players Sunday, including former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Scott Tolzien, according to a league source.
Tolzien was signed to the practice squad in advance of the Packers' open-game against his old team, the 49ers.
Tolzien is known for his dedication and intelligence, so his knowledge of the 49ers should prove useful.
The Packers also tried out ofensive guards Chandler Burden and Bryan Collins, wide receiver Sam McGuffie, and former New York Jets running back Joe McKnight.
