Pacman Jones arrested again

It has been awhile, but what used to be a frequent headline is back, as Adam "Pacman" Jones was arrested following an incident outside a bar on Wednesday night, per USA Today.

Jones, who had more than a dozen run-ins with police in his three-year stint with the Tennessee Titans, has behaved better since joining the Cincinnati Bengals, but police confirmed that he was arrested for allegedly punching a female outside a bar following the Cincinnati Reds' game against the Colorado Rockies.

According to Jones and his agent Peter Schaffer, the cornerback was protecting himself. Jones said he was approached by two females who asked to have a photo taken with him. Schaffer said Jones declined "because he's married and the last thing he wants is a picture with two women showing up on Twitter or something."

Schaffer said Jones told him he was hit in the head with a bottle and then turned around and slapped the woman.

"He turns around and immediately slaps the person. He has no idea what's going on or who threw the bottle," Schaffer said. "His teammates have enough of this and they walk out."

Schaffer said he has spoken to witnesses who have corroborated Jones' version of the story, and that he is attempting to get a security video of the incident.

Jones was once the poster child for trouble in the NFL, including one incident in a Las Vegas strip club in 2007 that led to a triple shooting and left a bouncer at the club paralyzed. That bouncer later sued Jones and was awarded a civil judgment against him.
