Carolina LB tore the ACL in his right knee. Associated Press
From the Associated Press:
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers starting weakside linebacker Thomas Davis is lost for the season because of a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee.
Davis' knee buckled without getting hit in the second half of Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints. Tests on Monday confirmed the tear, ending Davis' most productive pro season.
Davis had led the Panthers in tackles for most of the season and had six more Sunday before the injury. Landon Johnson will likely move into the starting lineup and the Panthers will likely look to add depth at the position.
