The Carolina Panthers cut quarterback Jimmy Clausen, also releasing veteran cornerback Drayton Florence and defensive tackle Sione Fua.

The Panthers' cuts included wide receiver David Gettis, who was waived-injured, linebacker Jason Williams, wide receiver Brenton Bersin, offensive tackle Garrett Chisolm, tight end Dominique Curry, offensive guard Hayworth Hicks, linebacker Doug Hogue, wide receiver Taulib Ikharo, linebacker Ben Jacobs, safety Robert Lester, offensive guard Tori Mobley, tight end Zack Pianalto, running back Tauren Poole, defensive end Craig Roh, wide receiver James Shaw, defensive tackle Casey Walker and offensive tackle Patrick Brown.

The Panthers waived-injured safeties D.J. Campbell and Anderson Russell.
