Panthers re-sign Sione Fua, IR Garry Williams

The Carolina Panthers have brought back defensive tackle Sione Fua and placed offensive guard Garry Williams on injured reserve with a left knee injury after he tore his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments.

Fua is a former third-round draft pick who was cut during the final major roster cutdown.

Fua played in 24 games with 12 starts over the past two seasons with the Panthers. He recorded 32 tackles, one forced fumble and one quarterback pressure.

The Panthers signed offensive guard Michael Jasper to the practice squad, a 6-foot-4, 375-pounder.
