Report indicates he has signed a minor-league deal with Marlins. Terry McCormick
Former University of West Virginia and Miami Dolphins backup quarterback Pat White has decided to give baseball a try, signing a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins, according to Dion Caputi of NFL Draft Update.
White was drafted by the Angels in the fourth round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft, but instead signed to play football at West Virginia.
White was a second-round pick of the Dolphins in the '09 draft but played just one season in Miami. White spent part of this week in Mobile, Ala. at the Senior Bowl, apparently with his agent, to see if there was another football opportunity available for him.
