Rookie running back tweaked his leg in preseason finale vs. Giants. Terry McCormick
Rookie running back Jeff Demps of the New England Patriots tweaked his leg and did not finish Wednesday night's preseason finale against the New York Giants.
However, Demps is fine after having a precautionary MRI, according to the Boston Herald.
Demps, an Olympic track star, signed with the Patriots after the completion of the London Olympics and had a solid night Wednesday before going down with the injury.
The former University of Florida running back gained 15 yards on six carries and had three receptions for 31 yards. He also had 49 yards on four punt returns and had one kickoff return for 19 yards.
