The New England Patriots have agreed to a four-year deal with first-round pick Dont'a Hightower, according to NFL.com. ProFootballTalk.com had previously reported the deal as being completed.
Hightower, the 25th overall pick in the draft, can expect around $7.7 million in total value of the contract with around $6.2 million in guarantees, according to the NFL's slotted system.
Hightower is the second of the Patriots' two first-round picks to agree to his rookie contract. Defensive end Chandler Jones had agreed to a deal earlier.
