Agent unsure if receiver will sign franchise tender. Terry McCormick
The New England Patriots and franchised wide receiver Wes Welker would like to workout a long-term deal.
Whether that will happen is up for debate, says the Boston Herald.
Agent David Dunn answered, "I don't know," when asked if Welker would sign the $10.6 million franchise tender. The Patriots and Welker don't have to answer that question until July 16, but the clock is ticking on trying to find ways to get a new deal done.
