The New England Patriots have added tight end Nate Byham to the roster, according to ESPN Boston.
Byham is a blocking tight end at 6-foot-4, 264 pounds.
He caught six passes for 56 yards and one touchdown for the Tampa Bay Bucccaneers where he played for coach Greg Schiano.
Byham tore his anterior cruciate ligament last Octobe and was placed on injured reserve.
Byham is a former San Francisco 49ers sixth-round draft pick from Pitt.
