Reported terms of trade a real bargain Brad Biggs
If we start focusing more on the exploits of Chad Ochocinco on the gridiron instead of some of the zany stunts he pulls off the gridiron, this could turn into a heck of a deal for the New England Patriots.
The Cincinnati Bengals dealt Ochocino, who had clearly grown restless with the organization, to the Patriots on Thursday in a trade that had unknown terms. Well, Clark Judge of CBS Sports has uncovered those terms. Per his report, the Bengals will receive a fifth- and a sixth-round draft pick in exchange for Ochocinco.
The wide receiver had to restructure his contract a little bit for the Patriots. Many believe a new setting with a new team that is as structured as the Patriots will go a long way toward getting the best football Ochocinco has left in him.
If it doesn’t work out, it’s not like the Patriots paid a high price.
