Mike Lombardi won't be out of work for long.
Fired from his general manager job with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday, Lombardi is reportedly set to work for the New England Patriots as a personnel executive.
Lombardi was the general manager for the original Browns when Patriots coach Bill Belichick was their head coach. They have a long-standing friendship.
Lombardi worked in the media for National Football Post and NFL Network prior to being hired by the Browns after being fired by the Oakland Raiders after the 2007 season.
