Backup suffers torn ACL in preseason game vs. Saints. Terry McCormick
New England Patriots backup linebacker Dane Fletcher will be lost for the season, according to NFL.com after tearing his ACL in the preseason opener against the New Orleans Saints Thursday night.
Fletcher made the Pats as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and got the start in place of Brandon Spikes on Thursday night. His also also hurts New England on special teams.
