The New England Patriots placed defensive tackle Tommy Kelly on injured reserve due to a knee injury.
Offensive lineman Josh Kline was promoted from the practice squad to take his place on the roster.
Kelly started five games and recorded 2 1/2 sacks this season.
He missed the past three games before being shut down for the remainder of the season.
Earlier this season, Vince Wilfork and Jerod Mayo were placed on injured reserve.
