Seventh-round pick still facing legal problems. Terry McCormick
The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with seventh-round pick Alfonzo Dennard on a four-year contract, according to the Boston Globe.
Dennard, of course, would have been much higher than a seventh-round pick had he not been arrested in Nebraska five days before the draft on a charge of assaulting a police officer.
Prior to that, Dennard was regarded as a second or third-round choice. The drop on draft day no doubt cost Dennard quite a bit of money, but probably not enough to keep him from paying his legal fees and court costs.
