The New England Patriots signed seventh-round offensive lineman Thomas Welch to a four-year contract.
Drafted 208th overall, Welch received a four-year contract with base salaries of $320,000, $405,000, $490,000 and $575,000 as well as a signing bonus of roughly $69,000, per a league source.
The 6-foot-7, 310-pounder is a converted tight end who started for two seasons at offensive tackle.
The Patriots have signed third-round wide receiver Taylor Price and sixth-round offensive tackle Ted Larsen.
