Patriots sign two receivers

The New England Patriots signed two rookie wide receivers: former Troy State player Wilson Van Hooser and former East Carolina player Reese Wiggins.

Van Hooser began his college career at Tulane.

The 6-foot, 197-pounder played three years at Tulane, finishing with 55 receptions for 805 yards and nine touchdowns. Last season at Troy, he had 13 receptions for 188 yards and two touchdowns and returned 15 kicks for 237 yards.

Wiggins earned All-Conference USA honorable mention as a senior after finishing with 26 receptions for 372 yards and four touchdowns. The 5-foot-11, 193-pounder finished his career with 80 receptions for 1,012 yards and eight touchdowns.
