University of Georgia defensive tackle Jeff Owens is scheduled to conduct a private workout for the New England Patriots next Friday.
Owens, who bench pressed 225 pounds 44 times at the scouting combine, clocked a 4.83 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day workout.
The 6-foot-1, 305-pounder is drawing interest from the Jacksonville Jaguars and has scheduled a visit with the Miami Dolphins, per a league source.
Owens' maximum bench press is 575 pounds.
He's garnering attention from 3-4 teams as a nose guard and is being evaluated as a three-technique as well as at nose guard by 4-3 teams.
