Defensive end from practice squad promoted to New England roster. Terry McCormick
Talk about bad timing.
Tiquan Underwood was all set to play in his first Super Bowl, until he was released by the New England Patriots on Saturday, just one day before the championship game.
To take his place on the 53-man roster and perhaps even be active for Super Bowl XLVI, the Patriots signed defensive lineman Alex Silvestro off their practice squad.
The bottom of the Patriots roster has been a revolving door, with some players being signed and released in the same week without having even played in a game.
