Peyton Manning will probably only play one or two series tonight for the Denver Broncos in their preseason opener against the Chicago Bears.

But all eyes will be on the future Hall of Fame quarterback as he returns to action with a new team and in a new situation - coming off a neck injury that cost him the entire 2011 season when he was with the Indianapolis Colts.

Manning got a little taste of competitive football again last Saturday when the Broncos held an intrasquad scrimmage at Sports Authority Field. But Manning knows the stakes will be a little higher for him tonight at Soldier Field against the Bears.

"I thought the scrimmage had some game-like feel to it," Manning told the Denver Post. "With the crowd and play clock, full speed. As a quarterback, they're coming. I thought that was the most game-feel scrimmage I've ever been in. This will be another level on Thursday, though, no question."
