There has been more fallout from the sexual assault investigation against Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

The Milledgeville, Ga., police officer who took the initial report from the 20-year-old Georgia woman that accused Roethlisberger of assaulting her has resigned.

According to TMZ.com, Sgt. Jerry Blash was given a choice: resign or be fired.

Milledgeville police Chief Woodrow Blue confirmed that Sgt. Jerry Blash has resigned.

Blash admitted that he made negative comments about the woman who accused Roethlisberger, including her being inebriated.
