Arizona Cardinals inside linebacker Daryl Washington faces a four-game suspension to begin the NFL season for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.
Now, Washington faces perhaps more serious trouble.
According to KSBW, Phoenix police are investigating a domestic dispute allegation in which a woman claims to be the victim following an incident involving Washington. Per the report, Washington was not at his Ahwatukee home when they arrived Wednesday to speak with him.
KSBW states “there are clear indications the victim had been physically attacked.”
The 26-year-old Washington has been a standout performer for the Cardinals, and he signed a $32 million, six-year contract extension prior to last season.
