Bucs cornerback catches a break in Los Angeles Brad Biggs
Eric Wright caught a break before training camp started.
The cornerback, who signed a lucrative deal as a free agent to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, has been cleared of possible felony DUI charges.
Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports that the Los Angeles District Attorney has decided not to file charges against Wright who was arrested for a felony on July 2 following an accident in Hollywood.
“Eric is glad this is behind him and is eager to begin training camp at the end of the month,” his Jeremy Lessem told Stroud.
So, the Bucs are 2-for-2 this offseason with cornerbacks avoiding serious trouble. Aqib Talib had felony charges against him in Texas dropped last month. That’s a positive step as they prepare for the season.
