Dixie Heights High School (Edgewood, KY) junior quarterback Zeke Pike will announce his college decision at a 2:30 p.m. news conference on Wednesday, according to high school coach Tom Spritzky.

Pike, one of the nation’s top players in the 2012 class and the NFP's top-rated signal caller, is sitting on at least 40 scholarship offers and recently visited four colleges on his spring break: Tennessee, Clemson, Georgia and Auburn. The 6-5, 220-pounder has also visited LSU, Oklahoma State, Kentucky, Louisville, Virginia, North Carolina, Michigan, Arkansas and Iowa.
In 2010, the pure drop-back passer threw for 2,144 yards and 17 touchdowns against 12 interceptions. He added 947 yards and 17 more scores on the ground. He was very impressive on the spring and summer camp circuit last offseason, going head-to-head and sometimes outperforming many of the recruits from the Class of 2011. Pike is one of the tougher signal callers in the Class of 2012 who doesn't mind lowering his shoulder when he escapes from the pocket. He also has taken some snaps at linebacker in the past.
