Fighting Irish have four signal-callers in 2010 recruiting class. Joe Fortenbaugh
New Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly must think that the quarterback position is a big problem for the Fighting Irish right now.
How else could you explain a 2010 recruiting class that features four quarterbacks, all of whom rank in the top 100 nationally?
With the recent news that Luke Massa (Ohio) will be attending Notre Dame next season, Kelly has now landed four quarterbacks for this year’s recruiting class. Massa will be joined by four-star recruit Andrew Hendrix, three-star recruit Tommy Rees and two-star recruit Derek Roback.
To make matters a bit more intriguing, Massa had originally committed to the University of Cincinnati, where Kelly was the head coach prior to jumping ship back in December. Clearly, Massa was more interested in playing for Kelly than for Cincinnati.
Here’s the rundown on Notre Dame’s incoming quarterback class:
The four freshmen will join upperclassmen Brian Castello and Dayne Crist on the Irish roster, giving Notre Dame six quarterbacks to choose from heading into the 2010 season.
How many redshirts do you think Kelly will be handing out this summer?
