Brady Quinn has the fresh start he was looking for having been traded to the Denver Broncos.

Will the former Notre Dame star claim the starting job he covets?

Not yet, at least not based on statements from Kyle Orton that he remains the starter in Denver.

Still, Orton is only playing under a restricted free agent tender, so there's no long-term committment on the Broncos' part to him as the guy.

Quinn made it clear that he's looking for playing time, not just a seat on the bench and a clipboard..

"I think every quarterback on our roster wants to play," Quinn said during a conference call with Denver reporters. "We're going to be team players first, but we all want to be out there playing."

Quinn declined to discuss his rocky three seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

"I don't want to look back or second guess or debate whether I got a fair shot," Quinn said. "That's all behind me. It's a great opportunity here in Denver.

"That's all I'm focused on. Can't change the past. Can't change the past three years. I've very thankful for the opportunity of getting to play there."

I'm a Brady Quinn fan from his days at Notre Dame; a Browns fan from forever...less so now. I felt that Quinn would turn the Browns around, but he never got a fair chance. Neither did Anderson for that matter. It was sad to watch. Hope Quinn didn't get beaten up too badly; can't wait to see him in Denver where he has a "Fightin' Irish" chance. He remains a class act in every way.
