Robert Griffin III is on the field and making throws for the Washington Redskins.
The quarterback did not participate in the OTA today that was open to media at Redskins Park, but he was on the field going through some small drills as part of his rehabilitation, according to Mark Maske of the Washington Post.
With a brace on his right knee, Griffin dropped back and threw passes. According to Maske, it looked like Griffin could plant with his right leg and throw with relative ease. He also did some running during the session.
This is the first week of OTA’s for the Redskins and Griffin could be sidelined into the start of training camp and potentially even the regular season. He had surgery in January to repair a torn ACL and LCL in his right knee. But in a brief glimpse, he looked to be coming along and the Redskins have maintained he’s ahead of schedule all along.
