Plaxico Burress has hinted that he would like to play to play for the Oakland Raiders.

Given that training camps are more than a week in and preseason starts very soon with Burress still unemployed, it's not a surprise that the veteran receiver would scan teams' rosters and try to create a landing spot for himself.

When asked about it, according to CSNBayArea.com, Raiders coach Dennis Allen didn't shoot down speculation that Burress and the Raiders might be a fit.

"I'll say this," said Allen, "we're going to look at any options that are out there that we think can make us better. Whether or not we make any moves or not, that's to be determined. But we're not going to rule anything out."

The Raiders' camp roster at receiver looks long on potential, but not at much so on production. In the mix for playing time in Oakland are former first-round pick Darrius Heyward-Bey, Denarius Moore, Jacoby Ford, Juron Criner, Rod Streater and Eddie McGee.

Plus, the Raiders have one spot left on their 90-man roster at the present time.
