Raiders boot Rolando McClain

Yet another first-round pick bites the dust in Oakland, as the Raiders have placed linebacker Rolando McClain on waivers.

McClain, Oakland's first-round pick in 2010 (No. 8 overall), had been reportedly on the chop block for several weeks. He had a couple of off-field incidents while with the Raiders, including being accused of pointing a gun at a man in Alabama.

McClain also failed to impress off the field.

"I'd like to thank the Raiders for giving me an opportunity to play in the NFL," McClain said in a statement released by his agency to USA Today. "I'm disappointed that it hasn't worked out better, but I'm very excited and thankful."

McClain will be free to sign with any team if no one claims him by Monday's deadline.
