The Oakland Raiders cut tight end Eric Butler, trimming the roster down to the 75-player NFL limit heading into today's league deadline.
The 6-foot-2, 255-pounder signed with the Raiders earlier this month.
However, he wasn't utilized in two preseason games since joining the team.
Butler has previous stints with the St. Louis Rams, Indianapolis Colts and the New York Giants.
He went undrafted out of Mississippi State.
