Raiders look at Manusky as defensive coordinator

Veteran coach has been DC for 49ers, Chargers. Terry McCormick

The Oakland Raiders have interviewed former 49ers and Chargers defensive coordinator Greg Manusky for the same spot in their organization, says Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com.

Marvez reported first that the Raiders had targeted (and eventually hired) Greg Knapp as offensive coordinator.

Manusky isn't the first name to surface for the defensive coordinator's role with the Raiders. However, new head coach Dennis Allen was rebuffed in his efforts to interview Richard Smith of Denver for the DC post. Smith served as the Broncos linebackers coach under Allen last year.

Also, the Raiders will keep Kelly Skipper as the running backs coach in Oakland.
