New Oakland Raiders coach Dennis Allen wants Greg Knapp to become his new offensive coordinator, says Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com.

Knapp, currently the quarterbacks coach of the Houston Texans, has been down this road before, having spent two seasons as the Raiders' OC in 2007-08.

The well-traveled assistant coach has also been offensive coordinator in San Francisco, Atlanta and Seattle. He and Allen were on the Falcons' staff together.

Hey guys, it's possible Hue wouldn't have looked like Don Coryell either with JaMarcus at QB and no playmakers at RB and WR. Give the guy a chance.

That's laughable. Knapp did fine in Houston with established run offense and a solid QB but boy, oh boy di he SUCK it up in Seattle. He goes into a similar situation with the Raiders: suspect running game and questionable QB play.

Good luck Silver and Black!
