Raiders place Criner on IR, promote Jenkins
The Oakland Raiders promoted wide receiver Greg Jenkins to the active roster from the practice squad and placed wide receiver Juron Criner on injured reserve.
Jenkins has spent the past 12 weeks on the Raiders’ practice squad following training camp. A converted quarterback, he was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in May following his collegiate career at Alabama State.
The 6-foot-1, 208-pounder played two years at Alabama State, throwing for 3,166 yards and 20 touchdowns. Prior to enrolling at Alabama State, Jenkins played at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
Criner appeared in one game this season and had three receptions for 32 yards. For his career, the second-year player has recorded 19 receptions for 183 yards and one touchdown. Criner is a former Raiders fifth round draft pick.
