Raiders reportedly interested in T.O.

Wide receiver could be a fit in Oakland Aaron Wilson

The Oakland Raiders are interested in veteran free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens, according to John Clayton of ESPN.

It's a development that came to light following the Cincinnati Bengals signing Antonio Bryant after Owens visited with team officials.

It was first noted on ESPN broadcaster Linda Cohn's Twitter account.

"Next stop for Terrel Owens could be the black hole and the Oakland Raiders!" Cohn wrote. "This according to Espn's John Clayton."

Owens makes some sense for the Raiders given that owner Al Davis is enamored of the deep ball, not to mention ex-San Francisco 49ers.

He has a huge catch radius, someone who should make plays on the ball or stop the D fromg etting it. He still has some issues with chemistry. He is more a true X to stay out on his own and run off defender leverage.

He gets a bit too greedy to run combo routes on the tight end's side of the formation, or next to someone else in slot.

this would be cool but i dont think this would happen.I for one think and HOPE gradkowski starts for us this year and he dosent have that strong of an arm.jrock has a strong arm but needs time in the pocket to play average like any other qb.some are just better at some things then others.T.O likes to go deep and i is a deep treat but i dont know.

Raiders need to let some youngsters breath. This guy will stunt growth on the field and off.

TO might do well to let a couple weeks go by. He can jump in after an injury somewhere. It will limit media madness in camp when writers are groping for easy copy, and save his veteran legs from camp. That would be the smart play IMO.

I laughed out loud when I saw the title of this one. Yet another veteran to disappear into the Black Hole...

Why do these writers continue to come up with this stuff.." Al Davis is enamored of the deep ball". Are you more real???? What owner, GM, coach or fan isn't enamored with the deep ball. Try to come up with something original. Writers keep trudging this Al Davis line out day after day..ok, we get it. AL DAVIS LOVES THE DEEP BALL. pLEASE TELL ME WHO DOESN'T

Bulls**t story. John Clayton said on espn afc west news and notes that... in his opinion, he believes that the raiders could be interested in TO.

For the record, I will boycott ALL Raider games if they sign TO.

I say sign him up for a year. no matter his personality, he still practices hard and knows how to play receiver very well and doesn't take play's off. It's a win win. He can even instruct Russell on what to look out for. Owens is not a shy person, and he'll let Russell know what he is doing wrong. Sign him up Davis.

I'm torn on this one; obviously TO still has some skills and if he is willing to take the role of teacher/mentor (why is Belitnikof still the WR's coach anyway) to this very young recieving core, they could make some positive strides. TO's yac has always been off the chart and the offense really needs that. Of course, with TO comes a ton of baggage. This would be the worst starting QB (unless the Polish Cannon gets hot) that he has ever played with. Remember, all of his disgruntled complaints came against Jeff Garcia, McNabb and Tony Romo (not so much last year, although that could have been merely because no one follows the Bills outside of Buffalo). I could see TO ranting and raving by the end of the preseason about how out of shape and pathetic a qb JaMarcus is. Some decent upside and tons of downside. But considering how bad the Raiders have been of late, it might be worth taking a shot.

A perfect team will be Chicago. Jay Cutler needs an experienced receiver!!!
