Raiders sign Daniel Loper, Michael Bennett

The Oakland Raiders have signed offensive guard Daniel Loper and Michael Bennett to new contracts, according to NFL Players Association records.

Loper signed a two-year deal with base salaries of $1.9 and $2 million for 2011 and 2012.

And Bennett signed a one-year deal with a base salary of $865,000 for next season.

Loper was signed last summer, appearing in 10 games with four starts.

Loper played eight games for the Detroit Lions in 2009 following a previous three-year stint with the Tennessee Titans.

The 6-foot-6, 320-pounder started five games for the Lions.

Bennett was signed last summer following a minicamp tryout. He only rushed for 11 yards with two catches last season in seven games.

Bennett has previous stints with the San Diego Chargers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and the Minnesota Vikings.

Bennett rushed for 65 yards on 23 carries in 2009 for the Chargers, catching six passes for 65 yards.

Bennett rushed for 1,296 yards back in 2002 for the Vikings, his lone 1,000-yard season.

Bennett played collegiately at Wisconsin.
