The Oakland Raiders have signed offensive lineman Jack Cornell to the active roster from their practice squad.

They cut defensive lineman Brian Sanford.

The Raiders need depth along the offensive line with three players listed as doubtful, including offensive tasckels Menelik Watson (calf) and Tony Pashos (hip) and center Andre Gurode (quadriceps).

Cornell was signed to the Raiders’ active roster for the Oct. 6 game against the San Diego Chargers before being cut the following day and re-signed to the practice squad two days later.

Cornell has a previous stint with the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad.

He played collegiately at Illinois where he started 19 career games.
