St. Louis Rams running back Terrance Ganaway has announced his retirement from professional football, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Ganaway was behind Daryl Richardson, Isaiah Pead and Zac Stacy on the Rams' depth chart, and perhaps saw the proverbial writing on the wall in St. Louis.

So he has decided to give up football and go back to school to finish his degree.
